Welcome to the first TAU international Volunteers-managed blog! This blog has been created to give complementary information to the graduated students of TAU and to create a community where we can share thoughts and information. This blog is not affiliated to any of the TAU services or bureaucratic apparatus and it is meant to be an informal tool where people can be updated, alongside the Whatsapp group and the informal word-of-mouth. Each student or post-doc is more than welcome to approach and participate in the creation of this blog, acting as a volunteer (with a little basic commitment) but also as an user, where they can collect any sort of information. All of the content posted on this blog is under the responsibility of the person who wrote it and posted it. UPDATE 06.11.23 Guidelines for the WhatsApp group 1.Respect & Kindness: Treat all members with respect and kindness. Be mindful of your tone and language. 2. Stay On Topic: Keep discussions releva...
In these days, we could detect a series of initiatives that would help definitively our Israeli friends and the people who are spending their time saving lives or supporting them.
UPDATE14.10 Broshim complex is allowing the entrance and permanence of the families of TAU students who live around villages surrounding Gaza. You can donate food to these families, there is a food and equipment giveaway corner for the refugees at building G, 2nd floor, on the left side of the hallway. You can also check on initiative number 15 to host them in empty apartments.
Check out all of the activities:
1) היי חברים,
אנחנו מארגנים אירוע התרמה מטעם הסטודנטים
מתכננים לעשות אותו ברחבת הכניסה בשער איינשטיין
מי שיכול לבוא לעזור - בין אם לפטופים, אריזות וכדומה, שיגיע החל מ12 לאיזור השער.
כל דבר שתביאו - ארגזים, אוכל, ציוד היגיינה, תחתונים גרביים, הכל יתקבל בברכה

A note on donating blood
We know for now that there are long waiting queues in order to donate blood, in various centers scattered across Tel Aviv. Nevertheless, before embarking in a stressful and adventurous travel to there, check with them what they actually need and if you are eligible for blood donations. There are general guidelines valid all of the time, everywhere in the world: here you can read about them on the WHO official website.
According to what we know so far, there is no need for an appointment; the collectors prefer having people whose blood and medical data is reachable and they are looking especially for type 0.
12) another website to collect money donation for the aid of IDF and civilians around Gaza strip https://www.jgive.com/new/en/usd/donation-targets/110417
13) An initiative from TAU in order to accommodate the families of the TAU students who need a temporary home:
Tel Aviv University established a "Accommodation Solutions Bank" for the benefit of the residents of the surrounding area - students, workers and their families.
To our delight, immediately after contacting the members of the academic and administrative staff, we received dozens of housing solutions, starting with a free bed in the house, continuing in a room or an apartment for a guest (one or more).
And now we invite you, dear male and female students as well as male and female employees, to contact us with feedback about your need for accommodation in the central area, and this in order to make available to you one of the offers that will suit you best.
For this purpose, please enter the details below and a contact person on our behalf will contact you to provide the accommodation offer.
For more information, you can contact Dr. Tami Amir by email - tamara@tauex.tau.ac.il

If you or anyone you know has a laptop they'd like to donate, please fill out the form below (feel free to ask me if you need help with the Hebrew).
