 Dear all, in these months there is a disturbing issue in our community: the timings and the procedures for renewing the visa, a vital element in our lives in Israel. The good news is that we did not forget about you, and we are aware of the discomfort, the frustration and the shocking experiences that many of us are encountering and sharing, especially after the last update from the Visa office. As of now, one should send their visa application 3 months in advance! This means, other than the ridiculous waiting time, that the new visa will be activated by the day of the payment of the fees, which inevitably will happen before the natural end of the previous visa. Consequently, the next visa will probably be shortened, and again the next renewal will happen three months in advance.  Other than that, it is not clear how the things are handled in between the Visa office and the Ministry of Interior, and there is disappointment also from our side: we fought all of this time to get...

 TAU offers the Office365 package to all of the students in the campus. Here there is the link to the instructions for downloading and setting up the package. All you need is your TAU email! This means that Co-Pilot365 is included as well! The webpage is under the Life Science faculty: don't you worry if you are in another one! It's just that the IT division of this faculty made a page in ENGLISH! Here instead we made a short video to explain how to set up the account in very small details: the aforementioned webpage does NOT provide specific information about logging in (which should be done through the institutional/company account), so if you try to enter directly the windows portal with your account, it won't recognize you.  As we know, there are many things going on in Broshim, and many of you approached us with their own stories and concerns while living in the dorms. In particular, this latter year things are unpredictable and confusing, mainly because of the big societal impact that the war brought up and the delicate, sophisticated equilibrium between TAU and Shikun and Binui, the company that owns the Broshim dorms. We demanded clarifications on two topics in particular: The situation on the waiting list The housing time limits At this moment (Dec 2024- Jan 2025) the waiting list is "not very long", due to the war, and the International  School is committed to assist in every possible way when someone requests to leave the dorms mid-contract.   Hi all, We recently had a productive meeting with Meshi (Research Coordinator) and Daphna (Director of International Student Services) to address various issues concerning international PhD and postdoc researchers. Below are the answers to your questions: 1. Any forms, emails, or posts written in Hebrew can be submitted to Meshi or Daphna for translation into English, provided they are relevant. 2. Regarding dorm allotment and extensions, arrangements are solely managed by Viktoria (housing in-charge). While we have tried to address existing issues, progress is currently slow. 3. There is a possibility of offering a short-term Hebrew course for researchers, similar to the one organized by Zoe previously. 4.
